Hallelujah!

This news is worthy of a national holiday! My beloved favorite shoe of all time is retroing in November, according to Sneaker News. The Flint Grey Air Jordan XIII (yes, hence my name). The G.O.A.T.! Copt x3!

This past Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao defeated Joshua Clottey to defend his WBO welterweight title at Cowboys Stadium by decision. Check out his fight night kicks (pics per Sole Collector)...

The shoe mimicks the SC Trainer 2010 PE that dropped last week.

Also this past Sunday, Patta in Amsterdam experienced mayhem for the release of the Parra/Patta Air Max 87...

Only spot I know in the states that got them was the Nike Sportswear on 21 Mercer in NYC. These are fetching as much as $500-$750 on eBay. Yikes.

As for March Madness, Texas drew Wake Forest in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Both teams come limping in. In this 8/9 match-up you will see a number of the Longhorn players rocking this KD2 PE...

...which will also hit HOH stores March 27th (honestly, I think Texas is one & done).

Lastly, some New Balance love. Check out this NB MT580 inspired by an MA-1 flight jacket. The side NB logos are interchangeable (velcro) and features Gore Tex lining. Dropping in July sick!

Peace!

I'll take a Cranberry and.....Eggplant?

Foam-Mania 2010 continues...confirmed by TSG, the Cranberry & Eggplant Half Cent, due out Holiday 2010...

Check out the black/red PE AJ 2010s that Dwyane Wade busted out against Charlotte last week (pics per Sneaker News)...

Not sure if the general public will see those, but they are dope.

Quick tangent - from hustle to "the hustle"...

...lol!

The bastardization continues...here is your classic Nike Air Trainer II SC 3/4 (pics per my dude Wally)...

Pristine things of beauty....now here is your 2010 Nike Auto Force Trainer...

They have it the same treatment as the Nike Auto Force 180. From this...

Heat Wave

If you're into Air Jordans, this is the year for you. Already in the past three months we have seen retros of Space Jam 11s, white/red 12s, black/red 6s. The theme continues in May, with the re-release of the OG AJ 2...

Also dropping in December, the AJ XIII white/red, per Kicks On Fire...

Chalk these up with white red 6s (June), Powder 9s (June), Charcoal 9s (September), Cool Grey 11s (December). Jordan heads will be broke!

But some Retros that I will still pass on are these Bin 23 "Premio" Jordan retros. Back in January we caught a glimpse of the AJ 2 Bin 23; actual pics were revealed on Jumpman23 this week (no release date yet)...

The write-up on this "premium" collection:

"Jordan is proud to announce the introduction of the Bin 23 collection. Bin 23 is a remarkable collection of Air Jordans I-XX3. When the time is right, select shoes from history’s most revered line of footwear will appear in exceptional releases conceived for the true connoisseur. This is where experimental and imagined Air Jordan designs, now aged to perfection, finally spring to life. In essence, Bin 23 holds lost stories, resurrected by passion, that are finally ready to be whispered again. Each pair is a treasure, worthy of greatness.

The first offering in the Bin 23 collection is the Air Jordan Retro 2 Premio. The Air Jordan 2 Retro Premio pays tribute to the exquisite craftsmanship and refined style of the original Air Jordan II, utilizing a rich, supple chocolate brown leather and exquisite attention to detail in a fitting homage to the original Air Jordan II’s legacy. The Air Jordan Retro 2 Premio, and all other offerings in the Bin 23 collection, carry the Bin 23 seal, are individually numbered and available in very limited quantities."

Eh, next....

A little something for you Penny heads: the Nike Air Go LWP is dropping holiday time, a classic confirmed on the Shoe Game.

I always loved the Agassi LWP & Air Scram LWP crosstrainer...I wonder how these will fit compared to the OGs.

Side note - if you have been checking out the Air Attack Air Max packs to be hitting Eastbay, you can see all the shoes here, courtesy of KATC.

I Hate 3M

I must be getting old. I used to love pop music. My roommates in college called me "Top 40 Ron". Now, I can't stand it. "Call me Mr. Flintstone, I can make your bed rock"? C'mon. Garbage. I've been listening to more classic rock and alternative rock. Today's pop music is horrible.

To further my aging process, I hate 3M on sneakers. I know that's blasphemy in sneakerdom, but I really do. I hate the way they photograph. I hate it when you get stains on them because you can't get them out. I feel like I should be 10 years old wearing a shiny shoe.

Now every hypebeast is reading this saying "psssht, whatchu smokin FlintGrey", but hey...I don't care how hot/limited/exclusive a sneaker is: if its predominantly 3M, I'll pass.

One of the most coveted Nike SB sneaker is the Medicom Dunk Low...

Simple. Clean. Hot. OK, where's my camera...I'm gonna turn the flash on and snap a quick...

Blah! What happened!? Yuck! What the f*ck! Horrible!

I passed on the Toro Bravo AJ 5 pack last year once I found out the blackish grey pair was 3M...

I will say that 3M is effective when used in a subtle way. On these MF Doom SB Dunk Highs, I think the piping executes the 3M material nicely...

And on the classic Air Max 97 colorway...3M accents the silver upper beautifully...

But to totally contradict everything I just wrote above, a friend of mine just called to chat about the upcoming AJ VI releases. I told him I like the Oreo 6 this month and the white/red 6 in June. He mentioned liking the Lakers AJ 6 dropping in a month or so. I told him I am not sure which version was dropping -- the early pics Ming showed us with a 3M upper...

...or this nasty, broke-*ss looking all-suede version...

Well, maybe I'm not getting old after all...

Keep It On the Low

I find this pack to be quite clever - the Nike Lebron 7 Low "Rumor" pack. Talk about cashing in on their investment. Check it out - a Knicks colorway (org/blue), Nets (grey w/ red accents), CKSA Moscow (red/blue - LOL) and the Cleveland Browns. Lots of folks bash the lows, but I think they're alright.

LOL...

And tell me why Nike likes to screw the adults & give kids all the good stuff. Here are two AF 1 lows available now for St Pats...

Now peep the kids...

They get a shamrock and we don't! They also get this sick white/pink AZK V...

...and we don't! Boooooooooooooo!

For the Max heads, while everyone is scrambling to find Tier Zero Parra/Patta 87's dropping this Saturday, here's some AM1s that should be a little easier to find: the AM1 Air Attack Pack...

This pack is in addition to the Attack Packs for the AM90, AM95, Maxim and 24/7. The black/club purple AM1 looks to be the real winner of the five -- it has that Tier Zero look to it, but I will say the stock pic gives them a funky shape.

This pack will be available at Niketowns, Nike Stores, Nikestore.com and a few select retailers in April.

Per KATC, more pics of the AJKO dropping this spring...

Not sure if I dig the white/reds over the red/white/black.

Lastly, a look at Kobe's iDs in their loss to the Magic yesterday...

Mr. Khlomar had 'em on too...

Why is it the Lakers are winless anytime a gimmicky or iD Kobe V is debuted!? Three losses in a row - SMH. Regardless, a clean colorway...

South Beach Diet

Sprinkle a little Mamba with a little Wade...and you got the perfect South Beach diet!

The Heat pulled a W vs the Lakers in overtime last night, 114-111, avenging their loss 12/4/09 loss at the buzzer in LA. A crazy game - 19 ties & 31 lead changes, with Kobe & Wade guarding each other in crunch time. Kobe ended with 39 points & Wade had 27 pts & 14 assists.

One of the best games of the year if you missed it. Just click on the pics for better looks at the kicks!

Q Rich dropped 25 in the Anniversary AJ IX's ^
