The Emperor's New Clothes, Part Deux

The duds that Bron rocked during "The Decision"...quickstrike Zoom Tokis in rustic/sail from 2009...

Congrats to Spain (adidas) on their World Cup victory over the Netherlands (Nike)!

The Emperor's New Clothes

Wow - that didn't take long. No need for Photoshopped pics any longer. After watching hours of post "Decision" footage, here's some Bron pics wearing his new digs from tonight's intro in Miami...

Huarache 2K10s? C'mon...

Looks like he's wearing number #6 after all. I figured Mario Chalmers would hold it for ransom.

Well, it's been said a million times already, but I don't hate the decision (being a Bulls fan) but I hate the way he did it. Way to rip out the hearts of Cleveland fans and disrespect the city that loved you.

Chicago-Bound

Well, at least we know one of these guys is headed to the CHI...

According to ESPN's Ric Bucher, the Bulls agreed to a 5-year, $80 million dollar deal with Carlos Boozer. Time for Nike to swap those PEs from university blue to varsity red!

Congrats to Spain and the Netherlands on making it to the World Cup Final...

I guess the flags could read more like this...

Jersey-wise, the Netherlands sports Nike while Spain rocks adidas. There will be bragging rights in Oregon after Sunday!

I Didn't Send It...

...but Chicago-based Leo Burnett sent the above pair of Nike Air Jordan Alpha 1s & message to Lebron this weekend.

We at least know there are no sneakerheads working at this ad agency; they could have sent some actual Air Jordan I's and not some clearance rack Alphas. I wonder if they at least sent his size. And I find it kind of ironical that Wade wore that same shoe & colorway during the regular season.

Regardless, a well-timed gimmick. Come to Chicago, Bron!

Still Wearin' Orange

The first free agent domino fell tonight when Amare Stoudemire agreed to a deal with the Knicks. I wonder if he'll keep wearing KDs. Still no word on Bron, Wade, or Bosh...

As we are knee-deep into the baseball season, peep these "Griffey" Nike Trainer 1.2s...

In an appropriate Mariner colorway, these trainers feature a stitched "600" on the heel to commemorate Junior Grif's career HR achievement...

These fit much like last year's AT1, so go up half a size on these. At $90, its a lot of bang for your buck. A well-executed tribute shoe, IMO (shout out to Nice Kicks for the pics/info).
