Title IX

This is the summer of the Nike Air Jordan IX. With the AJ 9 Powder retro dropping last weekend, the Bin 23 Premio AJ 9 this month, the AJ 9 Citrus in July and AJ 9 OG c/w in August, this signature Air Jordan model is enjoying a resurgence in 2010 with solid colorway treatment and timely releases.


With June also featuring the AJ 6 Infrared Pack, the AJ 6 white/varsity red GR and the Black/Charcoal AJ 2010, one might go broke. But if you have any money left after those releases, Jordan Brand actually has some sweet stuff dropping in July & August.

Thanks to Sneaker News, we get a peek at these releases. Here are my 5 most anticipated releases for July & August.

July 2010 - Number 5
Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High
Wolf Grey/Spice-White (332550-006)


Reminisce of the UNLV BTTYS Dunks from 1999, this might be the only AJ 1 Retro that I purchase this year.

July 2010 - Number 4
Nike Jordan Alpha Trunner
Black/White-Varsity Red (407582-002)


An updated version of a classic model. Hopefully these won't get recalled - LOL.

July 2010 - Number 3
Nike Jordan One6 One 7
White/Metallic Silver-Black (407587-102)


Basically a low-top version of the Air Jordan 16.5 team shoe that dropped last year. The midsole is the same at the 16.5, but the upper resembles more of the AJ 17 Low. These should be a beast on the court.

Also dropping in a black/white colorway & a white/blue colorway, the OG Vin Baker Sonics colorway is where it's at! I had the originals and loved them.

Biting off the AJ3 Flip from a few years back, this is a tribute shoe done right.

I hate Fusions, but I like these AJF 12s. I know I'll get plenty of hate mail for admitting it. I especially like this colorway. Drops August 12.

I actually think this shoe looks better than the regular AJ2010. Worth a look once they hit outlets.
